Children's Product Safety Request Or Children’s Product Certificate (CPC)

Children's Product Safety Request

Or

Children’s Product Certificate (CPC)

Certification means the issuance of a written Children's Product Certificate (CPC) in which the manufacturer or importer certifies that its children's product complies with all applicable children's product safety rules (or similar rules, bans, standards, or regulations under any law enforced by the Commission for that product)[1]

Children's products are subject to a set of federal safety rules, called children's product safety rules. Determining how your product is classified enables you to correctly identify the set of children’s product safety rules applicable to your product. The law defines a "children's product" as a consumer product designed or intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger.[2]

Amazon will ask the sellers to provide supporting documents that their products are safe to play if they identify their products as “toys” and for “kids” or “children”. Another instance, if the listing identifies its age group as for 12 years of age or younger.
